Who We Are

Bringing hope to South Sudan’s most vulnerable through compassion, action, and faith.

Samaritan Charity Foundation is a national non-governmental organization (NNGO) registered with the Ministry of Justice in 2010 and Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) under number 521.

We are a team of passionate changemakers who believe that a single act of compassion can transform the lives of South Sudan’s most vulnerable communities. What began as an effort to help a few children access education and shelter has grown into a movement reaching over 1.8 million people.

Today, we run shelter homes, schools, food programs, and clean water initiatives. Our mission is simple: to be the hands and feet of help wherever it’s needed — offering education, health, emergency aid, and empowerment to those most in need. Samaritan Charity Foundation is committed to being present, responsive, and rooted in love.

What We Focus On

Education Access: Supporting vulnerable children and youth with primary and secondary education.
Shelter & Housing: Providing safe homes for orphans and displaced families.
Food Security: Delivering meals and emergency nutrition to those facing hunger.
Clean Water & Sanitation: Installing boreholes and sanitation systems in underserved communities.
Women & Youth Empowerment: Offering vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and mentorship.
Emergency Relief: Responding to crises with timely aid in food, shelter, and health supplies.
Peacebuilding & Advocacy: Promoting harmony, human rights, and conflict resolution.

Our Programs

Food & Nutrition

We provide food relief and implement long-term nutrition programs for vulnerable families, especially children and the elderly, in crisis-affected areas.

Education & Schools

We support access to quality education through school construction, provision of learning materials, and scholarships for underprivileged children.

Emergency Response

We provide timely humanitarian aid including food, shelter, and medical care to communities affected by natural disasters, conflict, or displacement.

Water & Sanitation

We ensure access to clean, safe water and proper sanitation facilities by drilling boreholes, building latrines, and promoting hygiene practices.

Refugee Support

We offer comprehensive assistance to refugees and displaced people, including psychosocial support, education, healthcare, and basic needs provision.

Agriculture & Livelihoods

Our programs aim to build resilient communities through training in sustainable agriculture, tools provision, and small business development.
